Morning chores were in full swing, and I, Henrietta the Head Hen, was ready to oversee—perched and poised for action! Ryan was out with the Mini Highland cows, and Christopher was trying to get the Mangalitsa pigs to stop “sampling” his boot laces. Max, our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian, was already on high alert, patrolling for intruders…or squirrels. Meanwhile, the peacocks strutted around pretending they’re royalty.
I rallied my fellow hens to a covert mission: Operation Grain Snatch. We’d almost made it to the feed shed before the turkeys tattled on us—again! Tomorrow, I’ll have to find a new lookout…maybe one of the cows can be bribed with clover.
Stay tuned for more cluck-worthy chaos!
